Through these efforts, we hope to earn the trust of society at large and be a company that can fulfill its corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Within our CSR activity, we will respond to the various requests and expectations of our stakeholders in cooperation with our suppliers, promote CSR, and, by building long-term relationships of trust with our stakeholders, work toward the realization of a sustainable society in harmony with the international and local communities.

To this end, drawing on our CSR Basic Policy and with international standards in mind, we have established two key policy documents: the Bushu Pharma CSR Procurement Basic Policy – which sets out the policy of how we want to work with our suppliers in order to fulfill our social responsibilities and contribute to the development of a sustainable society – and the Bushu Pharma CSR Procurement Guidelines - which further defines the rules that our suppliers should follow in order to meet our CSR objectives.。

  • CSR Basic Policy

    • Organizational Governance
      We will promote sound management based on our management philosophy and strengthen our business continuity capabilities by promoting governance and by establishing Business Continuity Plans (BCP). We will also promote innovation and enhance corporate value.
    • Respect for Human Rights
      We will not engage in discrimination or be complicit in discrimination based on ethnicity, age, gender, race, nationality, religion, creed, social status, family origin, or disability. We will furthermore respect the fundamental human rights and privacy of all stakeholders in promoting our global business activities.
    • Maintenance and Improvement of Appropriate Working Environment
      We will create and maintain a work environment where each employee feels fulfilled in his/her work and where diversity, safety, and work-life balance are respected. We will also promote the development of employees' motivation and ability to work through precise management.
    • Preservation of the Global Environment
      With regard to issues such as climate change, conservation of water, marine and forest resources, pollution prevention and waste management, and preservation of biodiversity, we will strive to reduce our environmental impact throughout the value chain, minimize resource and energy use, and prevent environmental problems before they occur. We will also work to preserve natural assets by promoting business activities in harmony with the environment toward the realization of a sustainable society.
    • Fair Business Practices
      We will ensure strong corporate ethics, and all officers and employees will always maintain a sense of fairness, ethics, and responsibility. We will comply with relevant laws and regulations, contracts, fair market rules, and appropriate business practices to help ensure appropriate and sustainable consumption patterns, while striving to prevent corporate misconduct to earn the trust of our stakeholders. We will maintain fair relationships with our business partners and promote fair, transparent, free competition and appropriate business activities.
    • Promotion of CSR in the Supply Chain
      We will collaborate with suppliers, contractors, logistics companies, and others to promote CSR procurement throughout the supply chain, including environmental conservation and respect for human rights.
    • Community Involvement and Development
      As a good corporate citizen, we recognize the importance of coexisting with local communities, and we will actively communicate with local communities to deepen relationships of trust with them and promote activities aimed at sustainable development together with local communities, including business activities and social contribution activities that contribute to the revitalization of local communities and the resolution of issues.
  • CSR Basic Procurement Policy

    In order to fulfill our mission of “supporting the global healthcare industry to create a healthier tomorrow", we will implement the following procurement activities to meet our corporate social responsibility in cooperation with our suppliers based on our CSR Basic Policy and other policies and guidelines.

    • Quality
      We will conduct procurement activities with priority given to quality, effectiveness, safety, and stable supply, while at the same time emphasizing cost.
    • Compliance and fair and equitable transactions
      We will comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and social norms, and conduct our business activities in a sensible manner, while selecting suppliers fairly and impartially.
    • Human Rights and Labor
      We will respect the human rights of all people involved in the production of procured goods and other procurement activities and ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
    • Environment
      We will conduct procurement activities in consideration of the global environment and strive to protect the environment and prevent pollution.
    • CSR Procurement
      We will build relationships of trust with our suppliers, promote CSR procurement, and contribute to the development of a sustainable society.
  • CSR Procurement Guidelines

    We have established the following CSR Procurement Guidelines, which we expect our suppliers to follow in carrying out procurement activities to fulfill our corporate social responsibility. We ask that our suppliers understand these guidelines and conduct their activities in accordance with them.

    • Quality
      1. We will supply products whose quality, effectiveness, and safety are ensured.
      2. We will continue to analyze and manage risks associated with our business to ensure a stable supply of products even in the event of natural disasters or other emergencies.
      We will disclose information related to product quality, efficacy, safety, and supply in an appropriate and fair manner.
      3. We will conduct procurement activities with priority given to quality, effectiveness, safety, and stable supply, while at the same time emphasizing cost.
    • Compliance and fair and equitable transactions
      1. We will conduct our business activities in compliance with laws, regulations, ordinances, and social norms.
      2. We will prevent all forms of corruption, including bribery, improper benefits and receipt of benefits, and illegal political contributions.
      3. We will have no relationship with criminal organizations or antisocial forces.
      4. We will not engage in any acts of abuse of a superior position or acts restricting competition.
      5. We respect and do not infringe on the intellectual property rights of third parties.
      6. We will properly manage and prevent the leakage of personal and confidential information obtained through our business activities.
      7. We will conduct fair and equitable transactions.
    • Human Rights and Labor
      1. We do not discriminate on the basis of gender, age, ethnicity, race, nationality, religion, creed, social status, family origin, or disability.
      2. We respect the human rights of all people involved in our business activities, including employees, and do not tolerate harassment or other inhumane treatment. Forced labor and child labor are prohibited.
      3. We will ensure a fair selection process for recruitment and employment.
      4. We will comply with labor-related laws and regulations, and eliminate wage payments and long working hours that are in violation of such laws and regulations.
      5. We will maintain a safe and sanitary work environment where employees can work in good health.
      6. We will protect employees from hazardous substances and physical dangers in the workplace through education and training.
      7. We will establish emergency response measures and systems in the event of a disaster or accident in the workplace.
      8. We will respect employees' rights to organize and bargain collectively.

      1. We will actively engage in environmental preservation and maintain an environmental management system.
      2. We will take climate change into consideration and work to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
      3. We will properly dispose of waste, reduce the amount of waste generated, and reuse and recycle waste.
      4. We will strive to reduce consumption and efficiently use natural resources, including water.
      5. We will implement appropriate management of chemical substances and strive to prevent environmental pollution and ensure the safety of local residents.
      6. We will conduct our business activities in consideration of biodiversity.
